CLEARANCES

State Mandated Credentials Needed

The PA House passed Act 153 of 2014 into law on October 22, 2014. This law states that any volunteer who will have direct contact with children, are responsible for the welfare of a child, and have routine interaction with children are required to submit a completed Criminal Record Check and Child Abuse Clearance.

In the past, this process required payment and was processed by the RAA. Governor Tom Wolf announced that all fees for the Criminal Record Check and Child Abuse Clearance will be waived for volunteers.

This is NOT a time intensive process!

These credentials are also needed to volunteer at Riverview School District.
